Advocate Robin Gist has been appointed as a senior associate at Guernsey law firm Babbé LLP, having spent eight years working as a Law Officer of the Crown in Guernsey as a civil litigation lawyer.

In this role he worked across all aspects of civil litigation, litigation avoidance and general advisory work on behalf of the States of Guernsey. He regularly appeared before the Bailiwick Courts, including the Court of Appeal. Prior to this Advocate Gist spent eight years in London where he practised chancery and commercial matters.

Advocate Gist was called to Guernsey Bar in 2014 and before that the Bar of England & Wales in 2004. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law in London.

“Babbé has an outstanding reputation; I am really looking forward to bringing my knowledge to the team and providing a unique viewpoint from the experience I gained working at the States of Guernsey,” Advocate Gist said.
