Five lawyers from Carey Olsen's Guernsey and Jersey offices have been named in eprivateclient's inaugural Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35 list.
The private client publication's long-running Top 35 Under 35 initiative aims to identify, recognise, introduce and promote the rising stars of the private client community, whether they are lawyers, accountants, trustees or other professional intermediaries.
In the first ever Channel Islands edition, Elliot Aron and Robert Quinn of Carey Olsen's Guernsey office are joined by Jersey colleagues Sarah Farrow, Nichola Aldridge and Oliver Lindop.
Mr Aron, a senior associate in the dispute resolution and litigation group in Guernsey, advises international and local clients on a wide range of contentious matters, specialising in complex and high-value commercial and trust disputes.
Mr Quinn, an associate in the trusts and private wealth group in Guernsey, specialises in the establishment and administration of trust and company structures and advising professional fiduciaries as to their rights and duties.
Russell Clark, managing partner of Carey Olsen's Guernsey office, said the pair's recognition was well-deserved.
"Elliot joined our dispute resolution and litigation group from Macfarlanes at the beginning of this year, having gained a strong reputation for advising clients in complex trusts disputes, and continues to build on that reputation working alongside the partners in the team. Similarly, since joining Carey Olsen in 2016, Robert has established himself as a key member of the trusts and private wealth practice in Guernsey and is a valued adviser to our clients. This is an excellent achievement for both of them, and one of which they, and we, are rightly proud," said Mr Clark.
Ms Farrow, a senior associate in the trusts and private wealth group in Jersey, has a broad non-contentious, contentious and semi-contentious trust practice, regularly acting for professional trustees, private trust companies, family offices, settlors and beneficiaries.
Ms Aldridge, an associate in the same department, specialises in trust and fiduciary law and acts for many Channel Islands trust businesses, private trust companies and family offices, with a primary focus on non-contentious trust matters.
Mr Lindop, an associate in the dispute resolution and litigation group in Jersey, has significant recent experience of high value trust litigation and asset recovery disputes, in addition to a special interest in advising Jersey businesses on regulatory compliance matters and international sanctions.
Siobhan Riley, partner and head of the trusts and private wealth group in Jersey, said: "We're absolutely thrilled that Sarah, Nichola and Oliver have been recognised by eprivateclient as being among the top young professionals working in the Channel Islands private client sector. Their hard work and dedication is not only appreciated by us as a firm, but also by our clients. We look forward to watching them build on this accolade as they develop their careers at Carey Olsen over the coming years."
