EY is now a member of the Guernsey Employment Trust Disability Charter, which aims to help local disabled people find work.
The charter provides employers in Guernsey with practical information, good practice and guidance, while also celebrating companies that take positive action enabling more disabled people to access employment.
EY leads a number of initiatives globally to increase 'disability confidence' within businesses, with the aim of creating an inclusive working environment.
Assurance Partner, Richard Le Tissier commented: "EY already supports a number of initiatives and projects across our network to increase disability confidence in business, so we are delighted to be member of the Guernsey Employment Trust Disability Charter and supporting a local initiative which is putting disability confidence top of the agenda for local businesses.
"Encouraging diverse perspectives and inclusive cultures are key to building high performing teams, ultimately driving better decision-making and stimulating innovation throughout business."
To coincide with National Inclusion Week, GET has been delivering 'lunch and learn' sessions to EY employees this week, to raise awareness of unseen disabilities and break down barriers that exist around disability.
