EY supports students' summer wellbeing

Thursday 17 August 2023

Sixth form students, university students and graduates across the Channel Islands have been given the opportunity of enjoying half price activities this August thanks to EY.

The professional services firm funded a 50% discount on a range of beach activities.

EY has teamed up with Outdoor Guernsey and Guernsey Surf School as well as Jono’s in Jersey, to offer the codes to students who have signed up to their mailing list.

The same day discounts cover 50% off hire of paddleboards, kayaks and surf boards every Wednesday throughout August.

The offer is open to all students based in Guernsey and Jersey who are sixteen years of age and in full-time education.

Fiona Morton (pictured top), EY’s Assurance Partner and Head of Talent for EY in Guernsey, said partnering with local businesses to offer these opportunities is important to the firm to encourage wellbeing among students they're in touch with.

“Investing in our people’s health and wellbeing and ensuring everyone is taking care of themselves so they can perform at their best is our priority. Therefore, extending this support to our local community and teaming up with our local service providers was a natural step for us.

"With the stresses and pressures that comes with work, studying and exams, it can be easy for our health to take a back seat. We hope students can take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors with their friends and family and recharge over the summer holiday.

"I’d also like to wish all the students receiving exams results the best of luck with their next steps. We encourage anyone to contact us if they require guidance or support with their future career paths. We have a variety of opportunities available for any school leavers or graduates interested in a career in financial services.”
