Local facilities, services & project management consultants FME Integrated have signed a new three year sponsorship deal with St Jacques Vikings Rugby Club, extending their previous deal by some margin.
Previously, FME had supported the Vikings last season in a smaller role, before agreeing to become their primary shorts sponsor from the 2019/20 season.
The support from FME is described as 'vital' in ensuring that the Vikings can compete in the Raging Bull Shield Division Two this season. After several games at this new level (RFU Level 7) already this season, the Vikings have needed to really step up and have been tested more so than ever before.
On the signing of the new deal, Darren Etasse, Founder & Managing Director of FME Integrated said:
“Being involved with the sponsorship of St Jacques Vikings for the last few years, we are delighted to provide our ongoing support to local sport in Guernsey. The development of St Jacques over the last 5 years has been impressive by all involved and seeing the transformation of the team, staff and the overall professionalism of the Vikings, we are very pleased to continue our support for the next 3 years and look forward to seeing and supporting local rugby”
St Jacques Vikings Chairman Ian Hackeson commented on the new deal:
“We are very pleased to be working with FME Integrated and Darren Etasse once again, and we really appreciate that they have committed to our club for the next three seasons. We are under no illusions that this season is going to be our toughest for many years, but the commitment our players and coaches are showing to continually improving is amazing, and I am confident we will have some really great results as the season wears on.
“It is testament to the Guernsey community that businesses such as FME Integrated are willing to support clubs such as ours, and we hope we can reward them for their excellent support with strong performances out on the pitch.”
