Direct Input promotes new PR Director

Thursday 26 September 2019

Channel Islands communications agency, Direct Input, has promoted Laura Morel to the role of PR Director.

Ms Morel's new role will see her carry out business development for the firm while increasing its social media and digital content offering.

She has worked at Direct Input for nearly three years, following a long career in the finance sector.

"It's testament to the passion I have for this job that I've been able to achieve so much in such a short period of time," Ms Morel said. "I still have great ambitions for Direct Input and what we can achieve as a team and these are very exciting times ahead."

Alongside her role at the agency, Ms Morel has spent her spare time teaching local business owners how to best use social media. That service is being moved in-house with Direct Input offering support for companies on how to improve their content and engagement levels.

Ms Morel recently enrolled on the first ever Digital Leadership programme as part of the new Digital Jersey Academy.

"Digital advances are changing the way we tell our story so it's important that we are at the forefront of developments, learning how to best utilise technology so that the voice of our clients can be heard above the masses," she added.

Managing Director James Filleul commented:

"Laura is one of Jersey's best-known digital influencers and she will be using those skills, allied to her technical background in the financial services, to develop our online offering. I'm really pleased to be able to ask her to lead our PR team and help them continue offering the best possible service to our clients."
