Deloitte supports GROW plans

Deloitte Guernsey has started a new community partnership with GROW as part of its One Million Futures initiative.

Over the next three years, the company will work closely with Guernsey's Rural Occupational Workshop to provide internal business support, volunteer time and help with fundraising.

Deloitte's national community impact programme aims to help one million people achieve their goals through access to employment.

Founded by the Guernsey Society for the Mentally Handicapped 35 years ago, GROW supports individuals with disabilities by providing training and a sheltered work environment.

"As GROW relies on donations and sponsorships to keep the operation running, we are so grateful for this new partnership with Deloitte so we can continue to ensure that our service users have the very best working environment," said charity Manager, Eddie Higgins.

The company is currently working with more than 60 charities, enterprises and schools across the UK.

"We are excited to launch our new One Million Futures partnership with such a great local organisation," said Jo Huxtable from Deloitte. "GROW already does so much for our community so we are thrilled to be a part of this initiative. We have a fantastic local team working on this and we are all delighted to be supporting such a fantastic cause.

"The charity's purpose is very much aligned with the aims of One Million Futures, which is to reduce inequality by helping people overcome barriers to education and employment."
