Iain Beresford has been appointed as Chief Officer of Marketing and Membership for the Channel Islands Co-operative Society.
He will oversee the strategic direction of the society's marketing activity and branding, as well as the modernisation of the Co-op's membership experience and engagement.
"It's a genuinely exciting time to be joining the Society as the retail sector rapidly changes," said Mr Beresford. "Digital and in-store experiences are becoming increasingly seamless, so it's a hugely interesting and challenging time to be redefining our marketing strategy.
"Through its community engagement and sponsorships, CSR, environmental and sustainability initiatives, the Co-op makes a significant contribution to our local communities. I look forward to building on these values while also creating long-term value for our members."
Mark Cox, Co-op CEO, said Mr Beresford's appointment comes at a time of "exciting changes and developments" for the society:

Mr Beresford brings experience in senior roles in banking and finance, as well as media and legal sectors across numerous international locations. He has a Masters in Corporate Governance and is a both Chartered Governance Professional and a committee member of the IoD.
