CI practitioner awarded Master’s degree

A Jersey-based practitioner has become the first in the Channel Islands to obtain a Master of Surgery in Aesthetics degree.

Dr Gertrude Huss (pictured) completed this professional qualification in medical aesthetics at University College London.

With more than 20 years of experience in Facial Aesthetics, Dr Huss studied Minimally-Invasive Aesthetics for her degree.

Commenting on her accomplishment, Dr Huss said the course also focused on the development of regenerative aesthetics, an emerging branch of regenerative medicine, with procedures aimed at restoring youthful structure and function using the body’s own repair system.

“I am immensely proud and honoured to have completed my Master’s in Aesthetics degree. I consider this to be a milestone achievement for me both personally and professionally and I look forward to my graduation ceremony.”
