The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation has benefitted from last month’s Bedell Cristin chicken run event which raised £1,000 for the charity.

More than 150 participants assembled at Pembroke wearing chicken hats and shirts to take part in the 5k fun run over the Easter weekend.

Volunteers from Distance.gg, Bedell Cristin and the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation organised the day which also included an Easter egg hunt around the Beach House.

Jo Priaulx, Trustee of the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, said: “We’re so grateful to the organisers for choosing the Foundation to benefit from what was a successful and fun event.

“The funds raised will go towards providing support to premature babies and seriously poorly children and their families who have to travel off-island for treatment.”

Kate Ovenden, managing partner of Bedell Cristin added: “PPBF is a much-loved local charity which makes an incredible difference to the lives of families who experience what no family wants to go through.

“Bedell Cristin is proud to have sponsored such a great event which was enjoyed by all ages while supporting a worthwhile cause.”
