The society’s Chief Governance Officer and Society Secretary Chris Lintell, said: “The Society has much to be proud of as a value-driven business at the heart of the Channel Islands. It has a turnover of approximately £185 million, property assets of more than £130 million, employs more than 1,100 colleagues and last year returned over £8 million to Members through dividends, Member discounts, and share interest.
“This is an exciting opportunity to influence the Society’s strategic direction, development and governance of this fascinating organisation for the benefit of our Members and the communities we serve.”
