Monday 03 October 2022

Carey Olsen has achieved a "clean sweep" of Tier One rankings awarded by The Legal 500 UK.

It was the only offshore firm to achieve the Tier 1 ranking across all 20 categories.

In addition to the practice rankings for the firm's offices in Guernsey, Jersey and London, 15 lawyers were named in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, seven were named as 'next generation partners', and 21 were identified as 'rising stars' in the legal profession in their jurisdictions.

Alex Ohlsson (pictured), Group Managing Partner, said: "To achieve Tier 1 ranking across all practice areas in our Jersey, London and Guernsey offices is outstanding and we are immensely proud of the recognition the firm has gained for our dedication to our clients and our expertise in offshore law.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients and peers for their very positive feedback and to our teams at Carey Olsen for the excellent effort they continue to contribute to making Carey Olsen a market-leading firm."

The firm's full rankings are as follows:

Guernsey – Banking and finance; Capital markets; Commercial property; Corporate and M&A; Dispute resolution; Employment; Insurance; Investment funds; Private client, trusts and tax (all Tier 1).

Jersey – Banking and Finance; Capital markets; Commercial property; Corporate and commercial; Dispute resolution; Regulatory and white-collar crime; Employment; Family; Investment funds; Private client, trusts and tax (all Tier 1).

London – Offshore firms (Tier 1).
