Belasko creates group CEO role

Friday 02 August 2019

Independent corporate, fund and trust administration firm Belasko has hired a Chief Executive Officer to help grow the company.

Paul Lawrence will take on the title, bringing experience in team building and working in a strategic role.

He previously worked as Global Head of Funds at Intertrust in London and, before that, was Group Director at Elian Global.

"Belasko is an undiscovered gem in the independently-owned corporate, fund and trust administration space, with a high quality and loyal client base and an experienced management team," Mr Lawrence said.

"A common theme among the clients is a desire to form a long term relationship with their provider, and this is an objective Belasko is fully aligned with.

"There is a huge amount of potential in the business which benefits from the support of very entrepreneurial shareholders, who themselves have huge practical experience in this area and are supportive of the long term goals of the group."

Belasko provides administration services to private capital funds, primarily with asset classes spanning real estate, venture capital and private equity as well as traditional corporate and trust administrations services to international companies and private clients.

Managing Director of Belasko Administration, Nicola Walker, said: "We welcome Paul's involvement in the business. His experience makes him ideally suited to this strategic role spearheading the next phase of Belasko's growth."

Belasko was established in Guernsey in 2011 and opened in Jersey in 2017. It employs 30 people across the two islands.

Mr Lawrence will be based in the Jersey office.
