With work continuing on the building site where Guernsey's Premier Inn hotel will be, offshore law firm Bedell Cristin has advised The Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited, trading as NatWest International, in connection with the finances behind the project.
The team advised the Bank on financing the development of the Admiral Park site by Retail Park Holdings Limited (Comprop), including the construction of the hotel, an office building, a restaurant and a multi-storey carpark.
The Bedell Cristin Guernsey team was led by Guernsey Managing Partner, Kate Ovenden, assisted by counsel, Ann Halliday and legal assistant, Jennifer Mills. Jersey advice was provided by Global Managing Partner, Tim Pearce, assisted by senior associate, Antony Clerehugh and legal assistant, Donna Watts.
Ms Ovenden said:
"We were delighted once again to act as Guernsey and Jersey advisers to The Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited, trading as NatWest international, on another market-leading real estate finance transaction, in this case the development of Guernsey's first Premier Inn. Our continued instruction by the Bank in these matters is testament to our ability to provide robust and commercial finance and property advice in challenging market conditions."
