Appleby has welcomed Andrew Harding and Richard Field as Partners in the Group’s Guernsey office, further strengthening their Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams.
In addition Richard Sheldon, Head of Employment – Channel Islands, has been promoted to Partner within the Dispute Resolution team.
Mr Harding joins from the Appleby Isle of Man office, and specialises in the formation, restructuring and termination of investment funds and has experience in a wide variety of alternative investment structures including listed funds, open-ended investment companies, limited partnerships and protected cell companies.
He said: “I am excited to join the Guernsey team having spent 12 years in the Isle of Man office along with a period on secondment in Appleby’s Cayman office. I am delighted to join a growing team in Guernsey and build on the excellent reputation they have in the Funds, Corporate and Insurance fields.”
Advocate Richard Field has extensive experience acting for global financial institutions and joins Appleby after working in Guernsey for the last ten years. Richard specialises in corporate and commercial litigation, including banking, investment and funds litigation. He also advises on regulatory matters, including anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions and eGaming. As one of Guernsey’s leading data protection lawyers, he has advised and presented extensively on GDPR and its implementation locally, working closely with the States of Guernsey in the development of Guernsey’s new Data Protection Law.
Mr Harding, Mr Field and Mr Sheldon join existing Guernsey Partners Jeremy Berchem, Anthony Williams and Alison MacKrill.
