Agilisys Guernsey, the States of Guernsey’s technology and transformation partner, has appointed Shona Leavey to Head of IT Services.
Formerly Agilisys Guernsey’s Head of IT Change, Shona transferred from the States of Guernsey to Agilisys in November 2019, alongside 57 other States of Guernsey Information Systems and Services colleagues.
In her new role, Ms Leavey will lead a team of more than 50 IT professionals responsible for business as usual services as well as bringing into service the transformed IT estate.
Ashley Roper, Agilisys Guernsey Partnership Director, said: "I’m delighted that Shona has taken up the post of Head of IT Services. Over the last few months, she has played a pivotal role leading our team across numerous projects to support the States’ response to covid-19. Her appointment represents our commitment to strengthening our team with local talent as well as investing in a comprehensive learning and development programme for all our staff."
Ms Leavey said she had enjoyed the seven months she had spent at Agilysys so far, and looked forward to the opportunities her new role would bring.
"There has been real opportunity to grow as part of a wider professional technology and transformation business," she said. "I’m excited to be taking up my new role and leading our team as we start to deliver modern IT services, which will unlock efficiencies for the States. We have been proud to support public services through the covid-19 disruption and are looking forward to playing our part in the Bailiwick’s recovery."
