BWCI is delighted to announce that former Ladies' College student, Bella Ogier, has been awarded the 2018 BWCI Bursary.

BWCI's bursary is designed to provide local students with financial support for the duration of their university course, together with a wide range of paid practical work experience during the university vacations across our business areas.

This summer Miss Ogier's first placement was in BWCI's trust team.

She achieved a clean sweep of A* grades in her A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Her impressive A level results have secured her place at the University of Durham to study Natural Sciences (Maths and Physics).

BWCI's Senior HR Manager, Alison Hawkins said: "Bella has done incredibly well in her A levels and we hope that the skills she gains from her work experience with us will also be helpful to her in a university environment.”

Miss Ogier added: “The work experience has given me a valuable insight into life and the work involved at BWCI. I have really enjoyed it and look forward to continuing work next year. The financial aid will help me to grasp every opportunity at University. I’m very grateful to have been offered this bursary.”
