Hiscox makes donation to HSC to help fight COVID-19 pandemic

Local insurer Hiscox has today provided a donation to Health & Social Care to assist with the purchase of additional ventilators as part of the delivery of the PEH’s essential COVID-19 preparedness.

The new ventilators, once delivered, will be used now and in the future as part of the Island’s essential medical equipment stocks.

Robert Davies, CEO of Hiscox Guernsey, said:

"I am delighted to be able to make this donation on behalf of Hiscox to support the brilliant work that is being carried out by health and care staff during this pandemic."

Deputy Heidi Soulsby, President of the Committee for Health and Social Care said:

"On behalf of my Committee and the States of Guernsey as a whole, this donation towards the cost of purchasing new ventilators is potentially lifesaving for the Bailiwick Community.

"It is extremely humbling to see how the community has come together during this very difficult and uncertain time. This donation is another great example of #GuernseyTogether."
