Will De Garis came out on top after a hotly fought Open Guernsey Surfing Championships.

Some solid waves were found at T’Others at a windy Vazon.

De Garis scooped top spot, with Matt Le Maitre second, Johnny Wallbridge third and Joey Abbott fourth.

Wave of the day was a 9.0 ride by Abbott in the semi-finals.

The Guernsey Surf Club is now checking the surf forecast to find a date for its annual longboarding championships.
