Sunday saw Sebastian Priaulx racing in the famous “Battle on the Bricks” at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The AO Racing team kicked off with a strong pace in the Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr, known as “Roxy”, racing their way up from ninth to fourth in the GTD class.

With 45 minutes left of the 2 hour 40 minute race and the potential for a podium finish, Roxy took a front left tyre puncture, pushing the team back to P15.

Priaulx pushed on, maintaining a good pace and finishing in tenth.

“We had a really strong race overall, and did our best to maintain that,” said Priaulx.

“Although we were very close to our best finish of the season, the team did a great job with our recovery and quickly got us back out on the track," continued Priaulx.

“We always have to be ready for the unexpected, and that's an important part of the experience. This was the second time we brought Roxy out alongside Rexy, and there was a lot of love for them both. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported us.”

Priaulx’s final race of the season will be the 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta from 11 to 14 October.
