The Frenchman who won the Sure Guernsey Marathon in April has now done 'a Channel Islands double' by winning Jersey's marathon too.
Guillaume Ruel completed Guernsey's course in 2:31.29 in April, smashing the course record.
Yesterday he completed the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon in 2:23.27.
His time was not enough to set a new record in Jersey however, with Nathan Kioko's 2023 time of 2:16.03 secure for another 12 months.
A UK runner took the female honours yesterday, with Dawn Godwin taking first place in 3:04.30.
