Nominations are now open for the 2022 Sporting Achievement Awards.

The event, to be held in January, will be the 18th such awards ceremony hosted by the Guernsey Sports Commission.

12 different awards will be presented on Thursday 12 January, at Beau Sejour. They reflect individual and group talent, skill, dedication, focus and team spirit.

All nominations must be received by the Sports Commission by Monday 5 December.

Graham Chester, the Commission’s Operations Director is already looking forward to it.

"It’s been a bumper year of sporting action so there should be plenty of performances and achievements to celebrate," he said.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for all sports to put forward their top teams, coaches or individuals for one of the awards and I would encourage all local sporting organisations to get nominating.

"We want the evening to be a real celebration of the breadth and depth of sport here in Guernsey and share some of the stories around the top performances of the last 12 months."

The criteria for each award is available on the Guernsey Sports Commission’s website where there is also an online nomination form to complete.
