A wheelchair user has been left injured following a road accident, which could be seen as a 'hit and run'.
Although Guernsey Police haven't described it as such, they have said the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident did not stop at the scene.
An investigation has now been launched to find any witnesses who saw what happened at La Neuve Rue, Castel on Monday afternoon.
Guernsey Police have said the accident happened at around 14:35, and "during the incident, a male in a wheelchair suffered minor injuries".
The statement issued by the investigating officers went on to say:
"The driver of the vehicle involved didn’t stop at the scene and officers would like speak with them. Anyone who was in the area at the time or may have information regarding the incident is asked ot contact PC 178 OSBORNE on 725111, alternatively information can be passed annonymously on 0800 555 111."
