Traffic and Highway Services is once again offering the opportunity for vehicles carrying people of a pensionable age or Blue Badge holders the opportunity to drive through areas of Town so everyone has a chance to view the Christmas lights.

There is no need to obtain a permit, but access is restricted to certain times, dates and conditions.

There are three routes available

- Down Smith Street and the High Street, travelling in the direction of the Town Church only

- Through Le Pollet and High Street, travelling in the direction of the Town Church only 

- Down Mansell Street and Mill Street, travelling in the direction of the Market Building only 

Access is available between 18:00 and 22:00 on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings only, until Wednesday 2 January 2019 but excluding Monday 24 December 2018 (Christmas Eve) and Monday 31 December 2018 (New Year’s Eve).

Vehicles must be carrying people of a pensionable age or Blue Badge holders and there is a 12mph speed limit.
