Diversion an uphill struggle as Fountain Street closes

Tuesday 13 April 2021

Fountain Street has closed for an estimated two weeks, requiring a 2km diversion up Le Val des Terres to get back en route.

Guernsey Gas is carrying out utility works to renew their mains supply in the area.

The roadworks have a knock-on effect to other roads in the area, with diversions routed through several other streets and Church Hill also closed as a result.

The street is due to re-open on Friday 23 April. It was closed for a week in September last year for surface water improvements.
