Guernsey Police are investigating two separate assaults which both happened in St Peter Port, within two hours of each other, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The first incident Police are investigating happened on the Rohais, at around 00:30 Sunday 31 March.

The alleged victim said they were assaulted while trying to stop a stranger from going into his house. There were other people in the area as those members of the public intervened and may have seen what happened. 

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC 97 Du Port on 725111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Separately, Guernsey Police are also asking for witnesses to an assault that happened at around 02:10 the same morning.

An altercation took place on the seaward side of The North Esplanade sea wall, on the ledge that overlooks the sea. A man said he was hit on the head twice and face once by two other men causing 'minor injury'.

PC 129 Babbé is investigating.
