Summer's over

Tuesday 01 October 2019

Parking zones and speed limits are changing from today, while dogs are allowed back on all Bailiwick beaches, marking the end of the summer season.

Among the parking changes, which may be welcomed by some town workers, are the return of more ten hour spaces at La Vallette and the South Esplanade.

Those spaces near the Bathing Pools which had been cut to two hour spaces for use over the summer months are now ten hour again, while the spaces on the landward side of the road opposite Credit Suisse at the South Esplanade are back to ten-hour spaces, along with the 40 parking spaces on the seaward side of that road which had been cut to two hour zones as well.

Those ten hour spaces will remain in place until 1 April 2020.

The speed limit at Vazon, Route de la Lague and Route de La Rocquaine reverts from 25mph up to 35mph from today, until 31 May next year, while the one way system at Petit Bot is also now ending until next summer.

For dog walkers, all beaches are now open for walks.
