States to host Facebook Q&A on Tax Review

Saturday 23 April 2022

Islanders will have an opportunity to put their Tax Review questions to a panel of politicians and experts next week in a live online questions and answers session.

The event will be broadcast on the States’ Facebook page and online at 19:00 on Tuesday 26 April. Islanders will be able to submit questions using the Facebook comments or by emailing taxreview@gov.gg during the broadcast.

The panel includes the President of Policy and Resources, Deputy Peter Ferbrache; Treasury lead for P&R, Deputy Mark Helyar; and President of the Committee for Employment & Social Security, Deputy Peter Roffey.

Mark Thompson, non-States Member of the Committee for Employment & Social Security and Bethan Haines, the States Treasurer, will also be present on the panel.

The States say the event will last around one hour, and the panel will field as many questions relating to the Tax Review as possible.

Any questions relating to the Tax Review are welcomed and questions will be moderated to avoid repetition and to ensure appropriate language is used.

There is also the opportunity to speak in person to those leading the Tax Review as on Monday 25 April between 17:00 and 19:00 a drop-in is being held at the Cobo Community Centre.
