Islanders eligible for a spring covid-19 booster can now have the vaccine at their GP practice as well as the Community Vaccine Centre at Beau Sejour.
The additional option is available to anyone who is over the age of 75 or immunosuppressed and who has received an invitation for their booster.
The island's three GP practices have taken a larger role in the vaccination programme in recent months. They initially focused on the immunosuppressed and care home residents. But they now have the capacity to vaccinate anyone over 75 who has not yet booked their spring booster.
Anyone who has already booked an appointment to receive their booster at the Community Vaccination Centre is asked to keep that appointment.
The decision by the Committee for Health & Social Care to offer a spring booster to over-75s and those who are immunosuppressed follows latest guidance from the UK's Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. Letters are being sent to those who are eligible.
