The Guernsey Sports Commission has launched a survey for volunteers who keep dozens of sports thriving across the island.
The survey was launched this week as the Commission hosted an afternoon tea event to thank volunteers.
The event, which was held at the King George V playing fields, marked the start of National Volunteers’ Week.

"Sport in Guernsey simply wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for volunteers," said Nicky Will, a Director of the Commission.
"From coaches to marshals, welfare officers to official scorers, many, many hours go into making local sport the safe, enjoyable experience it is for so many islanders and we just wanted the chance to say a big thank you."
As part of the event, the Commission launched an online survey to find out more about how volunteers in sport feel, what support they already receive and any additional training or support they would welcome.

"We are using some of the questions posed by Sport England in their ongoing Active Lives survey so we can benchmark Guernsey against other similar areas to find out if we are facing the same challenges or if some are unique to us," said Mrs Will.
"The Guernsey Sports Commission wants to make sure that volunteers in sport are well supported and valued.
"Completing our survey will help give us some of the information and evidence we need to put together a Volunteering Plan so that we can hopefully continue to attract and retain the volunteers local sport needs."
The online survey will be available until 13 July and can be completed HERE.
