Spate of criminal damage sees property and vehicles vandalised

Tuesday 01 May 2018

Guernsey Police are appealing for witnesses after a spate of criminal damage in the area around Mont Arrive and Amherst over the weekend.

All of the incidents occurred during the early hours of Sunday 29 April.

Between the hours of 00:30 and 08:30 a number of vehicles were damaged in both the Amherst and Mont Arrive areas:

  • A blue Renault Clio which was parked at the top of Amherst had its passenger window smashed
  • A private property located in Mont Arrive had a window smashed. The damage was consistent with a small stone being thrown at the window
  • Three motorcycles, a blue Yamaha scooter, a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a white and red Yamaha motorcycle were damaged while parked on commercial premises in Mont Arrive. This damage is consistent with someone having pushed the vehicles into each other causing them to fall to the ground
  • A blue Honda Jazz had its rear nearside window smashed while it was parked on private property at the bottom of Mont Arrive

Officers are investigating all of the incidents with "enquiries ongoing."
