South Esplanade assault involved a couple

Friday 22 November 2019

An assault involving a man and a woman on the South Esplanade has been brought to Guernsey Police's attention.

It is asked that any witnesses of the incident, which is suspected to have taken place on the evening of Saturday 16 November, come forward and speak to police.

Reportedly, both of the people involved had visible injuries on their faces.

Before any fight broke out though, the couple had been seen visiting Mojitos Bar and the Harbour Lights, both located on the Albany in Town. They were seen arguing with each other on more than one occasion in those establishments.

PC 126 Farnon asked anyone who thinks they may have seen the couple on the Saturday to call 725111, or to give their information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
