Someone stole the chapel charity box

Thursday 12 September 2019

Guernsey Police say the charity box, which raises money for the Chapel at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital has been stolen.

Witnesses to the crime are asked to come forward, with the theft suspected to have happened sometime between 09:00 on Tuesday 10 September and 09:00 on Wednesday 11 September.

It contained £20 in cash.

This charity box, a Police spokesperson said, is the only funding stream for the hospital chapel and is used for the benefit of chapel users.

"The box is unique in style and easily recognised."

Anyone with any information regarding this is asked to contact PC20 Stephen Phillips on stephen.phillips@guernsey.pnn.police.uk or to call 725111.
