The parent company of Guernsey and Jersey's bus companies has sold both CT Plus and Liberty Bus.
HCT Group said it is very proud of the work it's done in Guernsey but the decision to sell has seen both CI operators bought by Tower Transit, which is part of Kelsian Group Limited - described as "Australia's largest integrated multi-modal transport provider and tourism operator.

Any impact on the bus service in Guernsey is not yet known but Kevin Hart, Director of Channel Islands services for the HCT Group, said there are no plans to change routes, tickets or branding,
“We are confident that the transition will occur without any disruption to services and that there are no plans to change routes or tickets or branding," he said. "The aim is to maintain the existing teams in place with their extensive local experience and track record of success.”
In announcing the sale, HCT Group Chief Executive Lynn McClelland said: "We are very proud of the work we’ve done in Guernsey and we believe that the services there could not be in better hands.

The Kelsian Group Limited is headquartered in Adelaide, Australia.
The Kelsian Group of companies comprises providers of multi-modal public transport services and tourism experiences, including ferry, bus, and light rail operators, both domestically and internationally.
