Guernsey Post has confirmed some of its services have been affected by the cyber-attack against Royal Mail.
Described by Royal Mail as an "incident" the cyber attack has left the service "temporarily unable to send letters and parcels overseas" according to the BBC.
There are also reported minor delays to post going into the UK, but domestic deliveries are said to be unaffected.
Guernsey Post said it has no further information at this stage but it was already clear this morning that some local services have been affected by the UK situation.
This includes the inability to send any international mail, including to Ireland, off island until further notice.
FedEx services were unaffected this morning and Guernsey Post said it can still offer customers the use of Parcelforce, but that service is likely to be delayed as a result too.
Mail services between the island and the UK were unaffected this morning.
