After several days of technical difficulties people can once again access their online tax returns.
A “complex fault” hit the States’ portal on 5 March and the States of Guernsey have been working with its IT partner Agilisys to try and rectify the problem.
The issue affected a significant number of people trying to fill in their tax returns and the resulting delay saw the deadline for returns extended to 17 March.
The States’ have now said the fault has been fixed “and work has also been taking place today to carry out testing on the system, and that is continuing throughout this evening”.
A further apology has been released and the States have “thanked the community for their patience”.
Speaking on the technical issues earlier in the week, the Director of the Revenue Service, Nicky Forshaw, said: “We’re extremely sorry for these technical issues, and we know customers expect better.”
