Planned repairs have been brought forward due to significant damage to the Ladies Pool.
The pool was closed on Thursday for the safety of swimmers, but it is understood that it will re-open in time for the Guernsey Swimming Club's Polar Bear Swim on Christmas Day.
"Recent large waves have caused damage to the area," said a spokesman for Environment & Infrastructure.
"The waves have caused the surface – the edge of the pool and the area around the pool – to crack. The metal trimming from the edge on the pool has also become dislodged by broken granite and subsequently left exposed steel re-enforcements.
"In order to improve and make safe the pool for all swimmers, concrete repairs will be made to the area."
Work is due to commence on Monday and is expected to be completed by 19 December. The Ladies Pool will remain closed for the duration of these works.
