Bus assault witness appeal

Thursday 04 October 2018

Guernsey Police are hoping witnesses may remember what they saw on a bus journey between Pleinmont and town almost six weeks ago.

It's alleged an assault occurred on the 61 bus on Tuesday 28 August.

While an investigation has been going on since then, officers are now asking for the public to help.

In particular they'd like to speak to any "potential witnesses to an assault that occurred on the number 61 bus travelling from Pleinmont to Town between 16:00 and 16:30 on 28 August 2018."

It's alleged an incident occurred between an "intoxicated male and a female passenger."

Anyone who was travelling on the bus at the same time as them should call PC Sharman on 725111, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Specifically, PC Sharman would like to speak with a gentleman travelling on the bus who appeared to be a painter or builder as he was wearing work clothing.
