Pointues Rocques planning application "incomplete"

Planning has extended the consultation period on a controversial proposed development of Pointes Rocques because the applicants have not supplied all the documents needed.

The St Sampson's site, which falls within the Delancey Conservation Area, was marked down in a development framework a couple years ago as a housing site for up to 150 properties.

A planning application was then submitted - and later revised - despite significant objections, for the development of 22 flats, 33 houses, 13 affordable houses and over 130 car parking spaces across the site. 

However, the several parties who collectively own the land which makes up the development site have failed to provide all the information needed, according to the Planning Service. 

Development & Planning Authority President Dawn Tindall confirmed that the consultation deadline - due to be today - has been extended. 

"I can confirm that all the representations on the planning application received during the consultation, which originally started on the 16 August 2019, will be taken into account for the final decision," she said. "It is unfortunate that the applicant did not send the Planning Service all the necessary documents but I agree with the Planning Service that a further consultation is the fairest course of action."
