Witnesses are needed after a pedestrian in a bright yellow top was hit by a car during the afternoon rush hour on one of Guernsey's busiest roads.
The man was hit by a blue Ford Fiesta on St Julian's Avenue shortly after 17:00.
Guernsey Police said, "at approximately 17:10 this evening in St Julian’s Avenue, St Peter Port, a blue Ford Fiesta was travelling downhill when it struck a pedestrian who was wearing a long yellow sleeved runners top."
While the driver was uninjured, the pedestrian was taken to the Emergency Department at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital where he was said to be "receiving treatment" later in the evening.
A spokesman for Guernsey Police said witnesses should get in touch, no matter how insignificant they think what they saw may be.
"This is an extremely busy road and this happened just as rush hour was getting underway. Anyone who saw anything should phone the control room on 725111 - operators will take the details.
"What may seem like a trivial piece of information to you could be crucial to us.
"Please don’t hesitate to call - what you have to say could be vital to our investigation."
