Pedestrian in critical condition after Les Banques collision

A 71-year-old man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car.

The incident occurred on Les Banques, St Peter Port, near the Red Lion at approximately 22:00 on Wednesday.

Emergency services attended and the man was treated on scene by paramedics before being transported to the Emergency Department. 

As of 16:00 on Thursday 14 October, the man remains in the PEH in a critical condition. 

Police say that officers are working with the man’s family, and will not be releasing his identity at this stage. 

Police are also continuing to investigate the incident, and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which may assist the investigation.
