Judith Watson has been reappointed to the Police Complaints Commission - with almost unanimous backing from the States of Guernsey.
Each of the 35 politicians who were in the States chamber for this morning's election voted in favour of her re-election as an ordinary member of the PCC for a further four year term.
Ms Watson has already served a four-year term which was due to end later this year, before her re-election today.
She is one of six members of the public who sit on the PCC.

The police complaints process in Guernsey has faced scrutiny and criticism this year as a number of complaints against Guernsey Police have been highlighted on social media.
The Committee for Home Affairs recently announced that an appropriate authority within the police organisation will have the power to use initial evidence to determine if a complaint is worthy of a full investigation before handing it to the independent review panel.
The appropriate authority will be senior police officers, but if complaints against them are made the power lies with the political members of Home Affairs.
But the independent panel – namely the Police Complaints Commission itself – must agree with this assessment.
It will have the power to order an investigation even if police or Home say one isn’t warranted.
