Normandie Market back for what could be its last year

People can get a taste of Normandie this Bank Holiday weekend as the French market has set up shop at North Beach for the next three days.

The market will run from 09:00 until 17:30 today, tomorrow and Bank Holiday Monday with a range of produce available for people to buy.

Jack Honeybill, the Executive Officer of the Town Centre Partnership, which organises the event, said there are 13 traders at the popular market this time around, with cider, wine, honey, cheese and pancakes among the produce available. 

There will also be non-food produce such as French jewellery, soaps and clothing.

The TCP has organised the market for more than ten years. However, the partnership is folding later this year, which means that the Normandie Market over the August Bank Holiday weekend may be the last ever.
