New GTA-Courses to tackle AI landscape

Sunday 29 September 2024

The Guernsey Institute has announced three new, one-day courses designed to help encourage islanders to dive into the world of AI.

Ian Campbell, a leading expert in digital transformation, will be leading the courses which begin in early November and run through to the end of the month.

Mr Campbell, a renowned expert in digital transformation, said: “By leveraging AI, we can optimise processes, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiencies, all of which are critical in a labour-short market like Guernsey’s.”

The first course on offer is the AI Foundation course which aims to introduce islanders with no prior knowledge, to the world of artificial intelligence, the second is looking towards Non-Executive Directors and how AI could benefit Guernsey’s financial sector.

Lastly the AI for Marketing Professionals takes place at the end of the month, and will explore how AI can help with content creation, campaign management, and SEO strategies.

Joanne Chippendale is the Programme Manager at GTA.

“Guernsey businesses are feeling the pressure of increasing operational costs and a tight labour market," she said.

"AI presents a way to not only alleviate these challenges but also stay competitive in a global marketplace.

“We are thrilled to offer these courses, which will equip local professionals with the knowledge they need to make AI work for them.”

You can find out more about these courses and others offered by the GTA on its WEBSITE.
