New cafes for Guernsey Airport

Friday 12 April 2019

A company called Caterleisure is taking over the lease for the two cafes at Guernsey Airport.

The Guernsey firm will be running both the landside and airside outlets when the current contract expires shortly.

Both Cafe Ritazza which is on the landside of the airport, and the Food Village in the departure lounge, are currently run by SSP but the contact expires at the end of April, when Caterleisure (Guernsey) Ltd will take on both outlets.

Both offer sandwiches and other light refreshments along with hot and cold drinks, while the Food Village serves cooked breakfasts and other hot meals.

The Commercial Manager for Guernsey's Ports, Doug Wright, confirmed the new tenant in response to questions from Express. He said:

“Guernsey Airport is pleased to confirm that Caterleisure (Guernsey) Ltd will become the new operator of the landside and airside food and beverage outlets when the current contract expires later this month. The company was selected following a competitive procurement process. Plans for the new food outlets are being finalised and further details will be announced in the near future.

The new tenant has started recruiting staff to run the outlets with posts on Facebook outlining wages and hours available.
