Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries

A 21-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision with a truck in St Andrew's late yesterday afternoon.

The rider is currently in a stable condition and receiving treatment at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

A white Suzuki GSXR motorcycle collided with a HGV tipper truck at the junction of Rue Frairies and Rue des Buttes - near The Last Post pub - at about 16:00.

All emergency services were called to the scene.

Police released a statement overnight requesting witnesses.

"The investigating officer would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, along with anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the route taken by the motorcycle shortly before the collision," said Police.
