More Condor sailings to St Malo

Friday 05 April 2019

Condor is planning an extra 28 direct sailings between Guernsey and St Malo this summer to try and boost the visitor market in both directions.

The sailings are expected to be an improvement on last year, particularly on the timetable around weekends. They will see daily services operate throughout the school summer holidays and extra sailings added on Friday and Monday afternoons from last weekend through to the end of September.

The total number of direct departures offered on the St Malo route this year is now 224, compared with 196 in 2018.

Paul Luxon, Condor Ferries’ CEO, said: "Tourism is so important to the Islands that we spend £1.5 million each year marketing in the UK and continental Europe so work closely with our trade partners and Visit Guernsey.

"It is not easy to accommodate additional sailings in an already busy summer timetable so we hope these will prove popular and a sustainable part of our schedule. The departures around weekends provide excellent short break opportunities to and from St Malo and these improvements show Condor’s continued investment in the visitor economy and providing travel choices for residents."

The summer schedule is valid from 29 March through to 31 October. Fares start at £34 each way for a foot passenger and £60 per person each way for a standard car and two passengers.
