Minute's silence this afternoon; a year after London terror attacks

Sunday 03 June 2018

All States buildings in Guernsey will be asked to observe a one minute's silence at 16:30 on Sunday 3 June.

It is being held in remembrance of all those who lost their lives, and all others who were affected by the attacks at London Bridge and in Borough Market on 3 June 2017.

In the United Kingdom all Government buildings have been asked to observe the silence and the Bailiff and the President of the Policy & Resources Committee have decided to do the same locally.

Sir Richard Collas and Deputy Gavin St Pier requested that, "insofar as is possible having regard to operational constraints, one minute’s silence is observed in all States’ buildings on Sunday 3 June 2018 at 16:30."

The directive from the Bailiff's Chambers said other organisations are invited to observe the silence if they wish.

Flags are to fly as normal.
