British fashion and homeware retailer Matalan will be taking over the space occupied by George in St Martins.
The new store will be launching as a SandpiperCI franchise in March in both Guernsey and Jersey, where it will be based in Sandpiper's Liberty Wharf complex.
The closure of George stores in the Channel Islands is the result of owners ASDA deciding not to renew any of its franchise contracts worldwide, Sandpiper said, adding that no redundancies will result from the closures.
Matalan will be taking over the 5,200 sq ft shop in St Martins.
