Spa bath bombed!

Tuesday 26 November 2019

Beau Sejour has had to waste 18,000 litres of water after two young leisure centre members put a bath bomb in the spa.

Staff have been working round the clock since the incident last night, cleaning the spa and returning it to the right pH and acidity levels so it can be opened up to the public again.

The facility had to be cleaned five times to get rid of the leftover residue.

"Not only is this extremely careless, causing a direct impact on our environment because of the water it has wasted, it has caused unnecessary work for our centre staff," a Beau Sejour spokesperson said. "This negligent act also negatively impacts other centre members who pay to access the facility, which forms part of our Health Suite!"

The culprits, who are both under the age of 18, have been identified and will have their membership revoked.

Beau Sejour has taken the opportunity to remind spa-users not to use soap or shampoo whilst using the facility, and to shower before entering the suite.

The spa has now re-opened to the public.
